Hang Seng sheds 0.53pc at break

Hong Kong shares were 0.53 percent lower by the break following a weak lead on Wall Street and on fears over recovery in Japan and the United States.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index dropped 111.75 points to 20,982.07. Turnover was HK$30.05 billion.
