Wallabies center Horne out of Tri-Nations
(08-01 14:47)
Wallabies' center Rob Horne is out of the rest of the Tri-Nations series with a fractured right elbow.

Scans after the Wallabies' 49-28 loss to New Zealand in Melbourne on Saturday revealed a small fracture, the Australian Rugby Union said.

The 20-year-old midfield back will have surgery for the injury, which also includes ligament damage, and he is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season, the ARU added.

"It's bad luck for Rob, but he's made an encouraging start to his international career, starting in every Test that we've played this year,'' coach Robbie Deans said.

Horne's place among the 24-man touring party for next Saturday's Tri-Nations Test in Christchurch will be taken by Queensland Reds loose forward Scott Higginbotham.
